How does VASERlipo work ?

Answer: During body contouring with VASERlipo, a tumescent fluid is infiltrated throughout the targeted fatty tissue area. This fluid, which naturally contains microscopic gas bubbles, surrounds and infiltrates between the loosely-connected fat cells. These air bubbles expand and collapse when exposed to the ultrasound energy emitted from the VASERlipo probes. The force created by the collapsing air bubbles crow bars the fat cells apart, dislodging them from the fatty tissue matrix.

What is a VASERlipo procedure ?

Answer: VASERlipo™ is a minimally invasive liposuction procedure to gently reshape your body by treating areas of fat with ultrasound technology. Unlike traditional liposuction, the VASERlipo procedure is tissue-selective, targeting fat while protecting other tissues from damage. This process is gentle on the body and gives patients the smooth contours they want with far less pain and a faster recovery compared to traditional liposuction.

Is there a recovery period ?

Answer: After a VASERlipo procedure, patients wear special compression garments to help skin contract smoothly to the body’s new contours. A short period of rest (typically 12 hours) is recommended, followed by two to three weeks of general recovery when strenuous activities should be avoided.
